Esqido Strip Lash Review

A few weeks back I was asked if I wanted to try and review a set of Esqido Strip Lashes! I am always interested in trying new makeup and beauty products and as they came all the way from Canada it would have been rude not to ;-)!!

The lashes I chose to try were the ‘Little Black Lash‘. They looked natural enough to wear during the day and as I only wear lashes for special occasions I wanted something that was lightweight and made my own lashes look a little bit fuller. I must say that the packaging is very luxurious the actual lash was the most natural looking and had more realistic lash feel of any striplash I have used. (As a bridal makeup artist this is something that I am always on the lookout for!) The lash is made from ethically sourced Mink hair and is not synthetic so they lasts a lot longer, feel more natural and look brilliant.

Here is some info from the Esqido website:

Little Black Lash: “An essential staple and the lightest of our entire collection. The strands on these false eyelashes are perfectly spaced out across the band for an amazingly natural and heavenly look. Adorable and versatile, this is a must-have in every girl’s collection.”

What’s the difference between Mink vs. Synthetic?

“Traditional synthetic false lashes were designed to be worn for a short period of time. While they may be a cheap option, they do not offer the same longevity, comfort, and natural look as real mink fur. In contrast, genuine mink lashes are able to hold a natural beautiful curl, and in combination with a soft cotton band, it’s both lightweight and comfortable.”

What’s unique about ESQIDO Mink Lashes?

“Our original mink lashes are handcrafted from the finest responsibly sourced mink fur. Our fur is collected from the natural shedding/molting cycles of the mink animal, which are then sterilized to ensure that they are hypoallergenic and suitable for wear.”

(This is very helpful!)

“TIP: When applying your lashes, place a mirror below you, so you can position the lashes while looking downwards. Do not apply mascara on ESQIDO lashes. If you wish to use mascara, apply them on your own lashes first.”

Here I am wearing my Esqido ‘Little Black Lash‘ on a normal day with a thin amount of liner and then on a night out with more dramatic kitten flick liner!

Esqido lashes can last up 25 wears (when cared for properly). I wanted the challenge of trying out these lashes for as long as possible, they lasted 13 wears!! I think this is great but I am sure they would have lasted longer if I had dissolved the glue instead of trying to pull it off! Oopsie!! See below for how to look after them.

How to care for the lash:

Dissolve Glue

Using a q-tip or your fingers, dab some eye makeup remover or water along the band of the lashes. Wait a few seconds for the glue to dissolve.

Peel off lash glue.

Gently peel any remnants of lash glue off the lash band. This will keep your lashes lightweight and flexible, extending the life and comfort of your lashes.

I love how natural these lashes looked, I think they are a great alternative to eyelash extensions!!

So all in all these are a damn lovely pair of lashes and I will definitely be purchasing more. They are a bit pricey at $34 (£20) but worth every penny as they last so much longer than a normal synthetic lash.
